A globally backed plastics compounding manufacturer in Ravenna, OH is adding an experienced Maintenance Technician to its evening shift team. This is a technically demanding role inside a precision industrial environment with long-term operational stability and a strong internal culture built around safety and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
Troubleshoot and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems across the plant floor
Maintain and support mixing and extrusion equipment central to the compounding operation
Read and interpret electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation drawings
Execute a wide range of mechanical repairs including conveyors, pumps, valves, and mechanical drives
Perform and document all scheduled preventative maintenance and TPM activities
Coordinate with external vendors for specialized equipment installation, maintenance, and repair
Enforce and adhere to all safety protocols including Lockout/Tagout, permit-to-work, and OSHA/NFPA standards
Provide on-call support for after-hours and weekend maintenance needs as scheduled
Lead or support process improvement initiatives as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor or Engineering Manager
Consult Engineering on critical spare parts requirements for new or modified equipment
What You'll Need
3–5+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
Working knowledge of electrical/electronic, hydraulic, mechanical, and pneumatic systems
Ability to read and work from multi-discipline technical drawings and schematics
Demonstrated LOTO compliance and general OSHA/NFPA regulatory awareness
Experience managing or coordinating with outside service vendors
Comfort operating in physically demanding environments — heights, confined spaces, elevated platforms, and exterior conditions
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and remain on feet for extended periods
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Forklift/tow motor operation experience preferred
HVAC troubleshooting, welding/fabrication, or construction trade experience a plus
Must be authorized to work in the United States
