Responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of a fast-paced packaging manufacturing facility. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in conducting, maintaining, testing, and repairing electrical/electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. This role requires applying strong knowledge of electromechanical principles to diagnose equipment malfunctions and restore functionality across all areas of manufacturing.

- 1st Shift: Mondays-Fridays; 5:00AM-1:30PM
Duties & Responsibilities:
Tasks related to this position may vary and are not limited to those listed below:
- Follow established safety rules, policies and procedures at all timesDirect supervision of maintenance staff including recruiting, selecting, training and developing associates through coaching and disciplinary actions
- Direct the maintenance team on day-to-day maintenance tasks, including PM’s, break downs, parts inventory, etc.Communicate and coach production staff on best practices related to machine use and safety
- Learn and increase knowledge of all machines and their functionEngage in related support functions that impact machine ability to run orders
- Schedule and complete preventative maintenance of equipment, including inspecting, calibrating, safety checks, repair/replace broken or warn componentsRepair equipment, including identifying replacement parts, to purchase or fabricate or adjust as necessary
- Purchase parts and components, within designated spending authority, ensuring quality and cost savings as appropriateDismantle and reassemble machinery such as motors, conveyer lines, flexo folder gluers, presses, banders, bundlers and printing machinery
- Fabricate structural changes to the work areas or machines to ensure safety, minimize potential injuries and increase efficiencies, including guarding, building platforms or rackingUpgrade, modify or adjust all machines and/or existing guarding to increase safety
- Follow all safety rules, including lockout/tagout, regulations, machine guidelines and guarding while maintaining a strict PM schedule for all machines and equipment Other duties as assigned
Skill Set:
- Mechanical: Understanding of machinery, mechanical systems, and ability to repair/maintain mechanical equipment, including hydraulics and pneumatics. Electrical: Proficiency in working with electrical circuits and systems, including troubleshooting and repair of electrical issues, knowledge of wiring, controls, and automation systems.
- Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret and understand blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings. Equipment Maintenance: Performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing various types of equipment and machinery
Qualifications Desired:
- Minimum of 5 years of machine maintenance experience2 years of leadership experience
- Certified forklift operatorProficient in welding
- Electrical License preferred: Applicant willing to enroll in BCI provided ELC classesPrevious electrical maintenance experience in industrial or manufacturing setting
- Technical school preferredComputer experience/operation and PLC troubleshooting and knowledge
- Ability to maintain various manufacturing equipment, follow specific directions, and perform other duties as assigned.Thorough knowledge of electrical components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
