- $1000 to be paid out after 90 days worked, additional $1000 to be paid out after 180 days worked *

WHAT YOU WILL ACHIEVE
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or rebuilding all plant equipment as necessary. You'll work hands-on with balers, conveyors, shredders, and grinders, keeping the plant running safely and efficiently.
HOW YOU WILL DO IT
- Troubleshoot, repair, and rebuild equipment in the department, including but not limited to balers, conveyors, shredders, and grinders
- Repair and maintain equipment as it relates to electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems by methods such as welding, fabricating, torching, and painting
- Work with the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Operations Supervisor, and/or designee to design, modify, or change equipment for specific functions
- Ensure all Monthly Preventive Maintenance is performed in accordance with ISO quality procedures and work instructions
- Use required PPE as needed, including proper ear, eye, hand, and face protection
- Comply with all lockout/tagout procedures
- Perform general and scheduled maintenance on all equipment within the plant
- Wash down all equipment, cleaning out all balers, chambers, and hoppers
- Inventory and track all parts for in-house equipment
- Read and compose simple instructions and correspondence in the form of emails and memos
- Train others as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Basic requirements:
- Technical education or training beyond high school highly preferred
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic background; welding and torching experience preferred
- Knowledge of recycling equipment helpful; PLC and robotics experience a plus
- Ability to design and adjust workflows and procedures
- Ability to navigate and perform accurate data entry in maintenance software
Physical requirements:
- Constantly move about to accomplish tasks or move between worksites
- Occasionally move self in different positions to accomplish tasks in various environments, including tight and confined spaces
- Constant movement and use of limbs; requires manual dexterity, coordination, and stamina
- Occasionally lift, move, or position objects weighing up to 50 pounds
- Vision requirements include corrected/uncorrected distant and near vision, depth perception, and the ability to distinguish between colors
- Regularly works around moving mechanical parts
- Climb ladders and stairs to access equipment
- Regularly works in wet and/or humid conditions that may include extreme cold, heat, and outside weather
- Constantly works in a noisy environment
WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM US
- Pay: $25-$29/hour + $150 monthly production bonus, $0.60/hour attendance bonus, tool reimbursement; discretionary end of year bonus
- Retention Bonus: $2000
- Schedule: 2nd Shift, 2:00 PM-11:00 PM
- Weekly pay
