Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and self-motivated Maintenance Technician to join our team. Working with a minimum of supervision, you will perform a wide variety of tasks to maintain, repair, and install machinery and equipment across our plant, office, and laboratory facilities, as well as the surrounding property.
Key Responsibilities
Electrical: Troubleshoot, install, and repair electrical components and controllers ranging from 110V to 480V. Safely run conduit for all relevant electrical systems.
Machine Repair: Troubleshoot, install, and repair critical machinery, including hydraulic, pneumatic, CNC, and mechanical components. Ensure repairs are done accurately and efficiently the first time.
Pipefitting: Cut and thread pipes of all sizes. Install gas lines, air lines, copper lines, and hazardous chemical lines (including stainless steel, Inconel, PVC, and CPVC).
Facilities Maintenance: Perform basic carpentry, painting, masonry, and minor HVAC repairs.
Welding: Demonstrate proficiency in basic welding and fabrication tasks.
Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all company safety rules and regulations. Safely handle and accumulate hazardous waste according to standard protocols.
Mentorship: Provide guidance and operational instructions to lower-skilled maintenance employees as needed.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: In-depth, proven experience in the general maintenance of industrial plant equipment.
Technical Expertise: Significant hands-on electrical and electronics experience; strong troubleshooting skills for critical machinery.
HVAC Knowledge: General working knowledge of plant HVAC systems.
Physical Requirements: Must possess the ability to climb and work safely at varying heights. Comfortable working in environments where physical surroundings vary from pleasant to extreme temperatures.
Education: Additional education or training in applied theory is preferred.
