Management Accountant

The US business has been operating since 2022 and is currently experiencing strong growth alongside an exciting business transformation period. As a result, they are looking to hire a newly created Management Accountant position to support the continued expansion ofthe finance function. This is a highly visible opportunity reporting directly into senior leadership, where the successful candidate will have broad exposure across accounting, financial reporting, credit & collections, and purchase-to-pay activities. The role offers a hybrid working environment with flexibility and strong long-term growth potential. The role is based in Rhode Island (North Kingstown), and they are looking for someone with prior experience with the month-end close.

Job Description

The successful Management Accountant will:

  • Manage monthly accounting processes and support month-end close activities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts packs including commentary and financial analysis
  • Produce balance sheet reconciliations, validations, and reporting
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and re-forecasting processes
  • Track financial performance against budgets and analyze variances
  • Ensure compliance with statutory accounting, tax, and regulatory obligations
  • Assist with production of statutory accounts and board reporting materials
  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis to support business decision-making
  • Support implementation and maintenance of internal financial controls
  • Review and oversee Accounts Receivable and collections activities
  • Monitor aged receivables and support collection efforts to optimize cash flow
  • Assist with customer payment disputes and escalations
  • Support Purchase-to-Pay processes including supplier invoice reviews and reconciliations
  • Ensure supplier data and documentation are maintained accurately
  • Partner cross-functionally with operations, sales, and finance leadership
  • Contribute to process improvements and efficiency initiatives across finance operations
  • Support audit requests and ensure accounting accuracy across the business

The Successful Applicant
  • 5+ years of accounting and finance experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification (desirable, not essential)
  • Strong experience with month-end close, financial reporting, forecasting, and budgeting
  • Prior experience reviewing entity-level financials
  • Accounts Receivable and collections experience
  • Knowledge of sales tax and statutory accounting requirements
  • Ability to work independently across multiple finance functions
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience within manufacturing, industrial, or services environments preferred
  • Hands-on mentality with willingness to wear multiple hats in a growing business
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid environment with 2-3 days onsite in Rhode Island (North Kingstown)
