The role includes leading the preparation of SEC filings for a non‑traded REIT, maintaining disclosure controls, and driving close‑to‑report transformation initiatives.What You Will DoManage preparation, review, and timely filing of Forms 10‑Q, 10‑K, 8‑K and related SEC submissions.Collaborate with key stakeholders to clarify and simplify technical rules and regulations.Draft and refine Management's Discussion & Analysis (MD&A) in collaboration with senior leadership.Lead the quarterly close‑to‑filing reporting workflow, including coordination of internal controls.Oversee XBRL/iXBRL tagging and reporting accuracy.Continuously improve reporting processes, automation, and governance.Technical Accounting ControlsMaintain and update reporting policies, ensuring appropriate interpretation, communication and implementation of standards.Monitor and analyze changes to FASB or SEC disclosure rules and share findings with accounting/finance leadership.Partner with Accounting teams on ad‑hoc projects to develop impact assessments related to accounting policies, processes and controls.Audit ControlsStrengthen internal controls over financial reporting and support audit activities.Coordinate quarterly reviews and annual audits.Interface directly with external auditors on review and filing comments.Travel as needed to support audit requirements.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Complete all physical requirements of the role with or without a reasonable accommodation.Ideal CandidateBachelor's degree in finance or accounting; CPA preferred.6‑9 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or SEC reporting.Demonstrated ownership of full‑cycle SEC filings (10‑Q and 10‑K experience essential).Deep, working knowledge of US GAAP and SEC disclosure regulations.Strong technical writing capabilities (MD&A drafting experience).Preferred QualificationsExperience with Big 4 public accounting.Experience coordinating external audit review process.Experience with non‑listed REITs that establish a NAV or periodic share price.Experience with workflows involving an external fund administrator and transfer agent.Experience with SEC reporting software for evaluating and selecting filing solutions.Strong attention to detail, analytical rigor, and strategic judgment in a fast‑paced environment.Proven ability to build effective partnerships across all levels of the organization.Organization StructureReports to: Vice President, Corporate & Analysis.Disclaimer: Please note that job responsibilities, reporting lines, and duties outlined in this job description are subject to change to meet the evolving needs of the organization.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, Core Spaces celebrates diversity and is committed to creating an equitable and inclusive environment.
