Are you a hands-on construction professional with experience preparing and installing manufactured homes and are you ready to serve communities recovering from disaster? Samaritan''s Purse is building residential homes and placing manufactured homes across Western North Carolina following severe flooding, and we need skilled Manufactured Home Setup Construction Workers to join our Rebuild teams.

In this role, you''ll help deliver safe, solid, and lasting homes, starting with assembling, leveling, anchoring, and preparing manufactured homes for occupancy in disaster-affected areas. This is more than just construction; this is Kingdom work. You''ll equip and lead volunteers, support families during their recovery, and offer hope in Jesus name.

You will be working at one of the following Rebuild sites in Western North Carolina:

• Watauga County (Boone, NC)

• Buncombe County (Asheville, NC)

• Yancey County (Burnsville, NC)

A day in the life of a Construction Worker:

In the role of a Construction Worker you will have the opportunity to:

• Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him

• Work jointly with the Project Superintendent, Construction Foremen, and Logistics Coordinators to construct and/or repair homes in the affected area

• Lead the safe delivery, placement, and setup of modular, manufactured homes at disaster-affected sites

• Operate a skid steer, dump truck, or forklift for positioning, leveling terrain, and moving materials

• Utilize anchor systems and follow federally approved residential anchoring codes

• Work in coordination with logistics teams, volunteers, and site crews to ensure seamless transitions from delivery to completion

• Position and level floor slabs, and oversee utility hookups

• Conduct site reconnaissance and advise logistics teams on ramp access, jacking needs, and turnover requirements

• Provide hands-on training and supervision to teams and volunteers, ensuring safety and proper setup technique

• Help ensure safe, sturdy, and code-compliant installations in coordination with the Superintendent and Manufactured Home Manager

• Ensure tools and equipment are properly secured and function safely on-site

• All other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Experience:

• One-year certificate from college or technical school and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Ability to obtain a drivers medical card (required)

• Trade certifications (electrical, plumbing, roofing, framing, and finish carpentry) (preferred)

• Class A Commercial Drivers License (preferred)

• Thorough knowledge and understanding of all aspects of residential home construction, from layout and foundation work to final inspection
