The technician will assist with cleaning, preparing, and reworking products for return to the factory. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and hands-on experience with soldering and/or mechanical, electronic, or optical assemblies.

Job Description
We are seeking a Manufacturing Technician B / Rework Technician B to support the Rework department. The technician will assist with cleaning, preparing, and reworking products for return to the factory. The role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow technical instructions, and hands-on experience with soldering and/or mechanical, electronic, or optical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Support rework technicians with cleaning, preparation, and rework activities.
- Work with electronic, optical, and mechanical assemblies.
- Perform soldering and other hands-on manufacturing/rework tasks.
- Follow detailed work instructions, procedures, and safety requirements.
- Accurately document work performed and repairs/rework completed.
- Identify and report deviations from established standards.
- Obtain quality inspection/approval when required.
- Use computer programs and maintain accurate production documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow all environmental, health, and safety policies.
- Support Lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
- Work effectively with supervisors, technicians, and cross-functional teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Soldering experience.
- Hands-on manufacturing, repair, assembly, or rework experience.
- Working knowledge of electronic, optical, and/or mechanical assemblies.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to follow detailed written procedures and instructions.
- Basic computer skills; experience with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot or identify issues and escalate deviations appropriately.
- Ability to work safely and follow manufacturing procedures.
- Ability to work independently with general supervision and as part of a team.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 2+ years of related experience in a repair, manufacturing, assembly, or rework environment.
- Experience with bonding is helpful.
- Experience in electronics, optical, or mechanical assembly is preferred.
