Summary: We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our MEP Engineering team. In this role, you will lead the mechanical design of HVAC systems for a diverse portfolio of projects, including commercial, healthcare, laboratories, pharmaceutical, federal, institutional, and educational facilities. The ideal candidate is a technical leader with extensive experience managing projects from concept through construction while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. This is not a product design role.

What I'm Looking For
Lead mechanical and HVAC system design from conceptual planning through construction documents
Perform HVAC load calculations, equipment sizing, system selection, and energy code compliance reviews
Prepare engineering calculations, technical specifications, and construction documentation
Provide QA/QC reviews and technical oversight for project deliverables
Mentor and support junior engineers and designers
Coordinate with architects, owners, contractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams
Review shop drawings, submittals and respond to RFIs
Conduct site visits, field observations, punch list reviews, and construction administration activities
Manage multiple projects while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule expectations
Support technical innovation and continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering team
What's Required
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of mechanical/HVAC design experience within the AEC industry
Professional Engineer (PE) license required
Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit
Strong understanding of HVAC system design, psychrometrics, and applicable mechanical codes
Experience designing systems for commercial, healthcare, laboratory, pharmaceutical, federal, or institutional facilities preferred
LEED accreditation is a plus
Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills
Ability to lead project teams and mentor junior staff in a fast-paced environment
