Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Medical Assistant for a 13-week outpatient assignment in Pasadena, California. This role will include a blend of Medical Assistant and Patient Service Representative (PSR) responsibilities, supporting both clinical and front office operations in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist providers with patient care and clinical procedures
- Perform patient intake, vital signs, and documentation
- Manage patient check-in/check-out processes
- Verify insurance information and maintain accurate patient records
- Schedule appointments and coordinate front office activities
- Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and workflow management
- Provide excellent customer service and patient support
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient Medical Assistant experience required
- Medical Assistant Diploma from a DAPIP-accredited program required
- BLS Certification required (AHA or ARC only)
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Epic experience required
- Front office experience, including patient check-in and insurance verification, required
