Responsibilities:Back office and some front office support for busy Cardiology Providers. The position is 80%-90% back office with some front office support when needed, front office consists of patient check in, verifying insurance and requirements of that insurance i.e. referrals / authorizations, co-pay collections and scheduling of visits, testing and procedures as needed. Provides general Medical Assistant assistance to a very busy Provider in an outpatient setting consisting of EKG, vitals including manual blood pressures. The staff member demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development appropriate to the ages of patients served. In addition, the staff member demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients. There may be times that you will be required to cover other sites within Mercy. Must have transportation for travel between Hub Sites.
