Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Assistant

Location: Glendale, CA
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay: $25-$30/hour

Summary

Seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Care Coordinator / Medical Assistant to support a specialty healthcare clinic. This role combines direct patient care, clinical support, documentation, scheduling coordination, and administrative responsibilities to ensure an exceptional patient experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist providers with patient visits, procedures, and clinical workflow.
  • Educate patients and provide clear instructions regarding treatment and medications.
  • Manage patient documentation and EMR records.
  • Answer and triage patient calls and coordinate follow-up care.
  • Support phlebotomy, specimen handling, and clinic operations as needed.
  • Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality of patient information.

Qualifications

  • CMA certification required.
  • 1+ year of Medical Assistant or clinical experience preferred.
  • Strong patient service and communication skills.
  • Experience with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Phlebotomy experience/certification preferred.
  • Bilingual skills (Spanish, Armenian, Mandarin, etc.) a plus.
