CCP is seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. This position will be responsible for moderate complexity testing in the laboratory located within the new CCP Now cardiac walk-in clinic.

Responsibilities include:

  • Collecting patient samples following proper patient identification and specimen labeling processes.
  • Following laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and recording patient test results.
  • Adhering to the laboratory’s quality control policies and documenting all quality control activities.
  • Operating and maintaining laboratory instrumentation ensuring proper calibration and performance.
  • Being capable of identifying and troubleshooting problems that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results.
  • Following the laboratory’s established corrective action policies and procedures and documenting actions taken.
  • Complying with all laboratory safety standards, SOPs and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross-functional collaboration with team members and other office staff to ensure patient safety, satisfaction and continuous quality improvement.
  • Other Duties as assigned 

Physical requirements:

  • Able to stand and sit for prolonged periods of time
  • Able to lift up to 30 pounds
  • Ability to discern colors for visually read tests
  • Dexterity to perform manual tasks
  • Exposure to blood and body fluids, chemicals

Education requirements:

  • Must have 6 years of relevant experience 
  • Must have a Bachelor's degree in Science 
  • Must have MLS(ASCP)
