OverviewJob Title: Mid HR SpecialistLocation: Washington DCIntroduction: Rivet Operations Company (“Rivet”) has an opening for a Mid HR Specialist to join our rapidly growing team in the Washington DC area. Rivet is an exceptional industry partner to the Department of Defense (DoD) and a leader in physical and cyber security, IT management, logistics, supply chain management, process improvement and development.The Mid HR Specialist provides technical support and advisory services in position classification, recruitment, and HR program administration. This role involves applying established HR principles to resolve moderately complex issues, assisting managers and employees with classification and staffing needs, and ensuring compliance with federal HR policies and procedures.Primary DutiesProvides independent classification and position management support, including:Conducting position evaluations and recommending series/grade/title determinationsReviewing classification standards, functional statements, organizational chartsConducting job analyses and organizational program auditsPreparing classification justifications and evaluation statementsAdvising managers on classification changes and workforce alignmentReviewing and analyzing position descriptions for accuracy and compliance with OPM standardsEnsuring HR actions are processed accurately using automated systems and proper codingEntering and retrieving data from HR systemsPreparing standard reports and reconciling recordsMaintaining subject matter files and agency guidance documentationQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's preferred)Minimum of 5 years of experience in federal HR classification or similar roleIn-depth knowledge of OPM classification standards and HR policiesStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skillsProficiency in HRIS systems and automated position description librariesAdvanced proficiency with Microsoft Office ApplicationsEffective communication and customer service skillsSecurity ClearancePosition requires applicant to be a US Citizen and able to obtain the required security clearance for the position.BenefitsRivet offers a comprehensive benefits package including a liberal vacation plan, a matching retirement program, and competitive salaries commensurate with skills and experience.
