MRI Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Local Pay: $2,500 – $2,900 Weekly
Traveler Pay: $3,200 – $3,600 Weekly (Stipend Included)
Schedule: Monday – Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Duration: 9 Weeks (Strong possibility of extension or permanent placement)
Position Overview
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MRI Technologist to join a leading healthcare facility in New York, NY. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing high-quality MRI procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and compliance with imaging protocols and regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform MRI imaging procedures and ensure optimal diagnostic image quality
- Position patients and imaging equipment accurately for procedures
- Educate patients regarding MRI procedures, preparation, and safety guidelines
- Review and verify MRI safety screening questionnaires prior to imaging
- Label, process, and transmit images to PACS systems accurately
- Maintain accurate documentation within radiology information systems
- Ensure MRI suite cleanliness, safety, and equipment readiness
- Monitor MRI equipment functionality and report technical issues promptly
- Assist physicians and clinical staff during imaging procedures when required
- Follow infection control, patient safety, and departmental protocols
- Support scheduling and clerical functions as needed
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiology
- ARRT Certification in MRI
- Current BCLS/Basic Life Support Certification
Preferred Experience
- Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of MRI physics, anatomy, physiology, and cross-sectional imaging techniques
- Experience working with PACS and radiology information systems
