Music Long-Term Substitute Teacher Lower Elementary Grades K-4 Period: Beginning Mid February 2027 through early April 2027Job Summary: Full-Time, Hourly, Long-Term Substitute Grades K-4 music teaching position. Schedule: Monday - Friday 7:30am-3:50pm, Tuesday 3:15pm-4:00pm choir rehearsalResponsibilities:· Teach multiple music classes throughout the week - Kindergarten through Grade 4· Demonstrate a passion to teach in an established program· Produce high-quality artistic experience working with students in Kindergarten – Grade 4· Teach lesson plans provided by teacher using sound pedagogical methods of instruction· Create a classroom environment conducive to learning and appropriate for the physical, social, and emotional development of students.· Conduct ongoing formal and informal assessments of student achievement.· Maintain open communication with parents and students through a variety of means, including face-to-face conversations, email, and phone calls.· Integrate technology to strengthen the teaching/learning process.· Maintain accurate, complete, and current records of student progress, achievement, and behavior.· Work collaboratively with faculty and staff. This includes, but is not limited to, working with the music faculty and Director of Fine Arts.Qualifications:· 4-year degree in Music Education.· Prefer a licensed teacher with K-12 certification for the State of Ohio in music education.· Possess a minimum of two years of teaching experience or field experience. Experience teaching elementary students a plus.· Experience working with a learning management system, like Canvas.· Must be able to integrate faith and learning.· Must be a practicing Christian who is comfortable working in a multi-denominational Christian community.CHCA is an equal opportunity employer.
