Department: Gator Success Institute Salary: $14.00 per hour
Description:
Provides mentoring to students individually or in groups through presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and/or other programming focused on learning strategies and student support and services within the UHD Seminar
Works closely with office staff and maintains confidentiality
Performs administrative duties and supports Gator Success Institute events
Co-facilitates student groups and/or workshops
Leads and/or assists staff with student events, projects, and/or the use or development of new student success and student engagement materials
Maintains up-to-date information on student services and resources
Responds to student questions in a professional and timely manner
Provides support to students in learning how to make good choices
Assists with retention efforts of FTIC students and creates student caseload reports
Assists students with registering for courses
All other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students
Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
Well-organized, responsible, punctual, and self-motivated
Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude and appearance
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Commitment to providing excellent customer service
Qualifications:
Must be a current UHD student with a minimum GPA of 2.5
Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University
