Department: Gator Success Institute Salary: $14.00 per hour

Description:

• Provides mentoring to students individually or in groups through presentations, workshops, outreach activities, and/or other programming focused on learning strategies and student support and services within the UHD Seminar
• Works closely with office staff and maintains confidentiality
• Performs administrative duties and supports Gator Success Institute events
• Co-facilitates student groups and/or workshops
• Leads and/or assists staff with student events, projects, and/or the use or development of new student success and student engagement materials
• Maintains up-to-date information on student services and resources
• Responds to student questions in a professional and timely manner
• Provides support to students in learning how to make good choices
• Assists with retention efforts of FTIC students and creates student caseload reports
• Assists students with registering for courses
• All other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Ability to multitask and interact professionally with staff, faculty, and students
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Well-organized, responsible, punctual, and self-motivated
• Strong interpersonal skills with a professional attitude and appearance
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Commitment to providing excellent customer service

Qualifications:

• Must be a current UHD student with a minimum GPA of 2.5
• Must be in good academic and disciplinary standing with the University
