Position Overview
Tap Healthcare Solutions is seeking an experienced and collaborative Nurse Manager – Progressive Care Unit (PCU) to join Queen of the Valley Medical Center in Napa, California. This leadership role is responsible for overseeing daily operations within the Progressive Care Unit, ensuring exceptional patient care, staff engagement, operational efficiency, and compliance with clinical standards.
The Nurse Manager will work closely with physicians, nursing leadership, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to support quality initiatives, optimize patient outcomes, and foster a positive team environment. This position offers competitive compensation ranging from approximately $167,000 to $265,000 annually based on experience and the opportunity to lead within a respected acute care organization.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related healthcare field required.
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license upon hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association upon hire.
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant clinical and leadership experience, including roles such as:
- Charge RN
- Relief Nurse
- Assistant Nurse Manager (ANM)
- Nurse Manager or similar leadership positions
- Minimum of 2–5 years of overall nursing experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Additional leadership or supervisory experience in an acute care hospital setting.
- Strong background in progressive care, telemetry, or step-down nursing environments.
- Excellent communication, team-building, and operational leadership skills.
