About the Role
Provide occupational therapy evaluations and treatment services for patients requiring rehabilitation support
Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, case managers, and rehabilitation professionals to promote optimal patient outcomes
Educate patients and caregivers regarding therapeutic techniques, safety strategies, and recovery goals
Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate
Support patients in achieving maximum functional independence and quality of life
Responsibilities
Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and reassessments
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Monitor patient outcomes and adjust treatment approaches as needed
Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and care planning activities
Educate patients and families regarding therapy goals and discharge recommendations
Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Qualifications
Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
Active Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure in Florida
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and CPR certification, or ability to obtain prior to employment
Strong clinical reasoning and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary healthcare environment
Previous hospital or rehabilitation experience preferred but not required
