Harris Beach Murtha is in search of an Office Administrative Assistant to join our Buffalo, NY office. You will thrive in this role if you have:

  • 1+ years' experience providing administrative support in a professional office environment, preferably within a legal setting
  • A sense of accountability for working independently and proactively
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills, including excellent spelling, grammar, punctuation, form, and style
  • Excellent multitasking, organizational, and time management abilities
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, scanning, profiling, and managing documents
  • Superior client service and listening skills
  • The ability to work effectively with diverse personalities and exercise sound judgment
  • A team-oriented mindset with a willingness to assist where needed
The Office Administrative Assistant is responsible for providing office support in the areas of hospitality and event support. Do you have the DRIVE and DESIRE to:
  • Provide administrative support and backup coverage to attorneys and administrative team members
  • Assist with document preparation, document assembly, scanning, profiling, filing, and special projects
  • Coordinate client appointments, obtain signatures, and follow up regarding required documentation
  • Support new matter intake and conflict check processes
  • Assist with administrative requests across a variety of legal practice areas
  • Greet clients and maintain a client-ready reception area and conference rooms
  • Manage conference room calendars and coordinate meeting room set-up, catering, and technology needs
  • Process incoming and outgoing mail, including FedEx, UPS, and certified mail
  • Maintain the organization of common office areas, including copy centers, kitchens, and conference rooms
  • Perform other administrative tasks and projects as requested by attorneys and management

Salary information below will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position, geographic locations and weekly hours schedule.

The anticipated weekly schedule for the Office Administrative Assistant in Buffalo is 38.75 hours per week.
