Job Description

Our Client, a Public University company, is looking for an Operations Project Coordinator for their Ann Arbor, MI location.

Responsibilities:

This position will work closely with the Director of Operations and Safety and departmental leadership to advance the development of the school's Continuity of Operations Plan, evaluate project management and departmental request tracking systems, and formalize departmental guidelines and standard operating procedures.
The ideal candidate is a proactive, resourceful problem-solver who can independently manage projects, engage stakeholders, evaluate solutions, and translate ideas into practical, sustainable processes. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to move multiple initiatives forward within established timelines.

Requirements:

Experience in project coordination, project management, operations, or process improvement.
Demonstrated ability to independently organize, plan, and execute projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines.
Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to develop clear and professional documentation.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Teams.
Ability to evaluate processes, identify improvement opportunities, and develop practical recommendations.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage competing priorities.
Ability to work collaboratively with employees and leadership across different functional areas.
Anticipated Project Deliverables
By the conclusion of the temporary assignment in May 2027, the Project Coordinator is expected to deliver the following:
Continuity of Operations Plan
A comprehensive draft of the Ross Continuity of Operations Plan, including critical functions, departmental responsibilities, operational dependencies, and recovery procedures.
Coordinated stakeholder review and documentation of recommendations for final approval and ongoing maintenance.
Project Management and Request Tracking Systems
An assessment of existing departmental project management and request tracking practices.
A comparative evaluation of potential technology solutions.
Recommended systems, proposed workflows, and an implementation roadmap, including pilot testing if feasible.
Departmental Guidelines and Procedures
A collection of documented and standardized departmental guidelines, SOPs, and operational workflows.
Consistent templates and a centralized organizational structure for maintaining departmental documentation.
Recommendations for ongoing ownership, review, and updates.
