About the Role
Join our team as an Operations Technical Trainer, leading the transition of our manufacturing operations from a legacy ERP system to Oracle JD Edwards EnterpriseOne (E1). You will be the critical link between production teams and the E1 implementation project, ensuring seamless adoption and successful ongoing training. This role offers the opportunity to drive change, enhance process efficiency, and make a lasting impact on manufacturing excellence. As the site's go-to expert, you will empower employees at all levels, supporting both immediate system deployment and future operational improvements.
Responsibilities
- Develop in-depth expertise in E1 manufacturing transactions and workflows for practical, real-world application
- Act as the primary liaison between manufacturing, project, and leadership teams to ensure production readiness for E1 deployment
- Design, coordinate, and deliver tailored training (classroom, small-group, hands-on) for production staff and supervisors
- Create and maintain clear, effective training materials, work instructions, quick-reference guides, and job aids
- Assess employee competency, provide coaching, and close training gaps to promote confident system adoption
- Review, update, and coordinate documentation and visual aids to align with updated ERP-driven processes
- Support go-live activities, troubleshoot system/process issues, and provide floor-level guidance during stabilization
- Track training completion, readiness activities, and feedback to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Collaborate cross-functionally to identify, communicate, and resolve system/process gaps impacting production
- Champion ongoing training, documentation management, and process optimization post-implementation
Required Skills and Experience
- 2-5 years' experience in manufacturing, operations, or production environments
- Demonstrated ability to quickly learn new systems and processes; strong computer skills
- Proven skills in training, employee coaching, and facilitating learning for diverse technical backgrounds
- Strong written and verbal communication, documentation, and technical writing abilities
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of coordinating multiple priorities
- Experience creating work instructions, visual aids, and training resources
- Comfortable collaborating with production staff, supervisors, technical teams, and management
- Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams
Preferred Skills
- Experience with ERP or manufacturing execution/business systems, especially Oracle JD Edwards (E1)
- Background in training delivery, SOP/work instruction development, or system implementations
- Exposure to regulated, quality-controlled, or GMP manufacturing environments
- Previous involvement in process improvement or change management initiatives
