POSITION OVERVIEW & PURPOSE

We are seeking a reliable and efficient part-time Prep Cook to support both our tavern operations and our corporate café/lunch program serving residents and onsite teams.

This role is focused on food preparation, setup, and ongoing maintenance of buffet and salad bar service, with an emphasis on fresh, high-quality offerings. The Prep Cook plays a key role in maintaining cleanliness, food safety standards, and readiness of ingredients across both service areas.

The schedule for this position is Monday-Thursday, 7:30AM - 2:30PM

Estimated starting hourly wage: $20.00 - $22.00

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Wash, peel chop, slice, and dice fruits and vegetables
  • Measure and assemble ingredients for recipes
  • Prepare basic food items such as dressings, sauces, marinades, and cold or lightly prepared items (e.g., pasta salads, grain bowls)
  • Label and store food items according to safety guidelines
  • Keep prep stations clean, organized, and stocked
  • Assist with receiving and storing deliveries
  • Dispose of waste and maintain clean prep areas and kitchen equipment
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation procedures
  • Set up and break down salad bar, buffet, and café service areas
  • Maintain food presentation and ensure stations remain clean, stocked, and organized throughout service
  • Restock food items, utensils, and supplies as needed
  • Wipe down tables and maintain overall cleanliness of the café/lunch area
  • Assist with trash removal and general upkeep of service areas
  • Assist with prep production for tavern operations as needed, including preparing items offsite and coordinating delivery
  • Provide occasional support in tavern kitchen operations as needed
Assist with clearing tables and maintaining café and service areas to ensure a clean and well-stocked environment during peak times

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
  • Previous kitchen experience
  • Knowledge of basic kitchen techniques and food preparation
  • Strong attention to detail and cleanliness
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
QUALIFICATIONS & COMPETENCIES

BASIC
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years related experience
  • Must be able to provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.

This is a part-time position with a variable schedule based on business needs, including mornings, afternoons, and occasional evenings.

TRAVEL

Limited to between Towers, The Seasons, and the corporate café location as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Duties are conducted indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.

  • This position is paid an hourly salary. Estimated starting hourly wage: $20.00 - $22.00
  • Exact salary is determined within the stated range by merit; seniority; production rate and/or quality; geographic location; education, training, and/or experience related to job duties and responsibilities; or travel required by the position.
  • Potential additional compensation includes annual bonus.
