Job Description
- Experience: Minimum 10 years of progressive tax compliance and/or consulting in public accounting or combined industry/public accounting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
- Certifications: CPA required.
- Other: Must be from a top 10 accounting firm. Travel as needed. Minimal job hopping preferred. Sponsorship possible. No relocation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead production and reviews of complex partnership tax returns.
- Provide tax consulting services, focusing on accuracy, quality, and client service.
- Evaluate tax aspects of partnership agreements and manage IRC 704b accounts.
- Attract, mentor, train, coach, and assess performance of staff.
- Oversee multiple client service teams, plan, execute, and complete tax projects across industries.
- Offer innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance expertise.
- Market, sell, design, and implement tax-planning strategies within budget.
- Develop and maintain new business and client relationships.
- Research and consult on Sub-chapter K partnership taxation using tax-related software.
- Respond to IRS and other tax authority inquiries.
- Maintain active client communication to manage expectations and meet deadlines.
- Lead business development, including proposals and pursuits.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in US GAAP, partnership returns, joint venture, and non-corporate entity tax returns.
- Strong understanding of Sub-chapter K partnership taxation.
- Experience with partnership structuring, entity formation, and mergers & acquisitions (preferred).
- Excellent analytical, technical, and tax accounting/technology skills.
