Summary
The Payroll Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely administration of all College payrolls. The Payroll Coordinator will be expected to work in a fast-paced setting and provide service as the primary resource for students, faculty, and supervisors regarding payroll-related questions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Payroll Coordinator
Process biweekly/semi-monthly/monthly payrolls accurately and timely, including regular wages, overtime, stipends, deductions, and other earnings
Administer the employment side of the Federal Work Study (FWS) program, to include:
Assign Federal Work Study semester maximums for each eligible student in the payroll system
Monitor utilization of student FWS each pay period
Transition students to regular work upon reaching their FWS maximum
Create periodic FWS utilization reports for Student Financial Services
Complete annual FWS audit
Monitor and address the students exceeding the 10 hour/week maximum
Reconcile insurance statements to employee deductions and general ledger liability accounts on a monthly basis; timely identify and resolve any discrepancies.
Submit requisitions for insurance vendor payments and payroll deduction payments (i.e. PLUW)
Annually review W2 and 1095 reports from payroll system
Assist with audits and provide payroll documentation and reports, as requested
Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records and employee payroll information
Maintain payroll related items on HRIS.
Develop and maintain current desk procedures.
Stay abreast of the latest changes to payroll laws, regulations, and tax requirements.
