Payroll Specialist

Job Summary

A local employer in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist for a direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented payroll professional who enjoys accurate processing, employee record maintenance, payroll reporting, and collaboration with HR and accounting teams.

The Payroll Specialist will play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time while supporting compliance, documentation, and payroll-related inquiries. Key Responsibilities

- Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll accurately and on schedule.
- Review timesheets, attendance records, payroll adjustments, deductions, benefits, and employee changes for accuracy.
- Enter, update, and maintain employee payroll information in payroll systems.
- Research payroll discrepancies and respond professionally to employee payroll questions.
- Maintain accurate payroll files, records, reports, and documentation for audits and compliance needs.
- Collaborate with HR, accounting, and internal teams to support payroll-related processes.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary range: $55,000 to $65,000 per year.
