Title: Payroll Tax Compliance

Compensation
Pay Range::$65.00 Per HR

Description
The position involves supporting payroll operations to ensure accurate tax rates and timely tax filings.
Based in Charlotte, NC, this contract role requires expertise in payroll processing and compliance with government regulations.
Familiarity with payroll software is essential.
Ensure tax rates are accurate and up to date in payroll systems.
Provide operations and audit support to ensure timely and compliant payroll processing.
Oversee daily workflow and supervise payroll processing functions.
Coordinate with accounting and technical staff for system improvements.
Perform audits to ensure data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
Drive process improvement initiatives to increase productivity.

Key Responsibilities
Review payroll tax setup and collaborate with tax filing services to correct issues.
Manage and reconcile payroll taxes at both employer and employee levels.
Research and resolve payroll tax notices for multi-state tax entities.
Support internal and external audit data requests and prepare year-end tax materials.
Collaborate with accounting to research open general ledger items.

Qualifications
University Degree Preferred.
3 years of relevant work experience required; 5 years preferred.
Experience with payroll software and tax compliance.
Ability to work independently and with stakeholders to communicate tax initiatives.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
