Join Our Team as a PCU Registered Nurse – Make a Difference in Oncology Care!

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of high acuity PCU or telemetry experience; oncology experience preferred but not mandatory
  • Proficiency in interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac and respiratory equipment
  • Strong knowledge of infection prevention, fall precautions, and patient safety protocols
  • Ability to administer blood products, manage central lines, IV starts, and titrate drips (including cardiac and insulin)
  • Competence with telemonitoring systems, PCA pumps, and wound care equipment
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team

Nice to Have Skills:
  • Experience with chemotherapy administration and monitoring
  • Management of complex surgical drains, chest tubes, and airway devices (CPAP/BIPAP, HFNC)
  • Proficiency in blood glucose management and arterial line care
  • Prior travel nursing experience and familiarity with on-unit education

Preferred Education and Experience:
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license with valid state licensure
  • 2+ years of relevant high-acuity nursing experience in oncology or telemetry units
  • Certifications: BCLS, ACLS, NIH; additional certifications in chemo or wound care are a plus

Other Requirements:
  • Ability to float within units of equal or lower acuity as needed
  • Flexibility to work variable shifts, including nights (Night 3x12-Hour shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM)
  • Commitment to patient safety and infection control standards
  • Previous experience with travel assignments is a plus
