Job Title: Pharmacist - Travel
Location: Hyannis, MA
Contract Duration: 26 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Flex Shift (Primarily Night Shift) | Weekly Hours: 40 Hours | Schedule: Monday – Friday
Shift Pattern: Primarily 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM, occasional 3:00 PM – 1:00 AM |
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and rotating holidays
Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Pharmacist – Pharmacy (Travel) for an exciting Travel or Local job in Hyannis, MA.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare, dispense, and control medications per regulations
- Review medication orders for accuracy, dosing, and interactions
- Compound sterile and non-sterile preparations (IV admixtures, TPN)
- Ensure proper medication labeling, storage, and documentation
- Provide drug information and clinical support to healthcare staff
- Monitor medication therapy for safety and effectiveness
- Supervise pharmacy support staff as needed
- Maintain controlled substance records and compliance documentation
- Manage medication distribution to patient care units
- Perform medication order entry and clinical pharmacy support during night shifts
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and safety standards
- Maintain professional patient and staff interactions
- Participate in ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited Pharmacy program required
- Active Massachusetts Pharmacist license required
- Hospital or inpatient pharmacy experience required
- Strong clinical pharmacy and medication safety knowledge
- Ability to work night shifts, weekends, and holidays
- Experience with IV admixture, TPN, sterile compounding preferred
- Strong communication and clinical decision-making skills
- Ability to work independently in high-volume hospital setting
- Proficiency with pharmacy systems and equipment
