A services organization is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to join their staff in a Remote role, supporting the clinical review of Drug Utilization Review (DUR) for pharmacy customers.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 7pm to 5am or 10pm to 8am (PST hours)
- Setting: Remote / Work From Home
- Locations: Candidates must reside in one of the following states: Arizona, Florida, Indiana, New Hampshire, New York, Texas, or Washington
- Notes: Arizona-based candidates are strongly preferred
Responsibilities:
- Maintain comprehensive customer profiles, including current and past medical history, clinical and laboratory data, and concurrent medications (including over-the-counter and home
- remedies)
- Evaluate physician medication orders for appropriateness of drug, dosage, potential interactions, and route of administration
- Utilize, monitor, and troubleshoot automated dispensing and fulfillment systems to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely preparation of prescription orders
- Collaborate with the Pharmacy Technicians and Engineering teams to resolve automation issues, optimize workflows, and maintain compliance with quality and safety standards
- Accurately dispense controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations and state-specific laws
- Maintain thorough, timely, and auditable records of all controlled substance transactions, including inventory management, reconciliation, and reporting requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and/or Pharm.D. degree
- Active and unrestricted Pharmacy License in the state of employment (additional licenses may be required)
- Proficiency with basic computer functions and pharmacy systems
- Exemplary interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work overnight hours and support Pacific Time (PST) operations
Desired Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Pharmacy laws and Federal/State regulations
- Ability to manage high call volume while maintaining quality customer service
