Job Details:

• Coverage needed as soon as possible through 12/31/2026 for an FMLA gap
• 
  
• Flexible scheduling available: 2, 3, 4, or 5 days per week and 2, 3, or 4 weeks per month; willing to consider more than one provider to split coverage
• 
  
• Outpatient clinic hours Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
• 
  
• After-hours shared call pool with APP support; call hours from 5:00 PM to 7:00 AM with a 1 in 5 call ratio
• 
  
• Practice setting includes inpatient consult service, outpatient clinic, and infusion center attached to the hospital
• 
  
• Patient population consists of adult and geriatric patients
• 
  
• Position is focused nearly entirely on hematology approximately 90% hematology and 10% solid tumor
• 
  
• Covers both malignant and benign hematology; benign heme patients outnumber malignant heme patients
• 
  
• Community practice setting; does not perform bone marrow transplants or other advanced academic center treatments
• 
  
• Possibility of covering solid tumor patients when on call for the practice
• 
  
• Radiation oncologists are present during locum tenens coverage
• 
  
• APP support includes 5 inpatient APPs covering 2 hospitals and 6 outpatient APPs
• 
  
• Average of 10 15 patients per day for inpatient rounding/call and 15 patients per day in the outpatient clinic
• 
  
• 6 physicians in the practice group
• 
  
• EMR system: Epic
• 
  
• Required procedures include FNA/Biopsy
• 
  
• Required duties include participation on a Tumor Board, ordering tests and images, and prescribing
• 
  
• Board Certification required; active Michigan license strongly preferred
• 
  
• BLS certification required
