Plant Controller

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Plant Controller job in Avon, CT. This DIRECT hire job is available with one of our clients in the optical fiber and connectivity solutions industry. In this role, you will oversee the accounting and financial operations for multiple manufacturing facilities, providing strategic financial leadership while supporting business growth and operational excellence. To be successful in this position, you should have a strong background in manufacturing accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting. Preference will be given to professionals with experience using JDE or SAP and a CPA or CMA designation.

Plant Controller Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and coordinate financial reports, analyze financial data to identify trends and business opportunities, and present findings to management.
• Develop and help coordinate annual budgets, process budgets, and create financial forecasts for the region.
• Implement and enforce financial systems, policies, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
• Work with operations teams to resolve financial issues and drive improvements in profitability and cash flow within the region.
• Recruit, coach, and develop the financial support staff within the region.
• Collaborate with the internal audit department and external auditors to ensure recommendations are implemented and to put loss prevention measures in place.
• Assist management in creating short- and long-term financial goals and strategies.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Eight plus years of progressive accounting or finance experience, including experience within a manufacturing environment.
• CPA or CMA designation is preferred.
• Working knowledge of JDE and/or SAP systems.
