Plant Equipment Reliability Technician

Join Kelly’s client in Brockton, MA (1001 N Montello St, 02301) as the reliability-focused technician who keeps production assets safe, efficient, and online. You’ll report to the Plant Manager and work cross-functionally to reduce downtime and elevate equipment performance. This is a temporary-to-hire opportunity.

Compensation & Schedule

• Employment Type: Temporary-to-hire
• Pay: $26–$32/hour, based on experience
• Hours: Mon–Thu, 6:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.; Fri, 6:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m.

Core Responsibilities

• Execute scheduled PM tasks: inspect, service, and calibrate production equipment.
• Clean, disassemble/reassemble, and lubricate components to manufacturer specs.
• Identify wear, failures, and risk conditions; document findings and escalate parts needs.
• Diagnose root causes of unplanned stoppages; perform rapid, high-quality corrective repairs.
• Order and install replacement parts; validate performance via test runs.
• Coordinate maintenance windows with managers to minimize production impacts.
• Partner with the product manager and plant engineer on new-product-driven equipment modifications.
• Implement necessary changes and iterate until targets are met.
• Maintain shop organization: inventory, tools, supplies, and accurate maintenance records.
• Support ongoing facility maintenance activities within a manufacturing environment.
• Perform additional related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• Mechanically inclined with strong diagnostic and problem-solving ability.
• Effective communicator; able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and composed in fast-paced, high-pressure situations.

Education & Experience

• Vocational/community college coursework in a relevant trade or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience collaborating with the maintenance department, Plant Manager, and an electrician.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and walking.
• Frequent bending, stretching, pushing, and pulling to reach and service equipment.
• Visual acuity for machine inspections.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
