Job Summary: We are seeking a Weld Technician or hands-on Engineer with experience in the manufacturing industry, preferably in plastics or thermoplastics environments. This is not a metals welding role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform and interpret welding analysis methods, including:
- Cross-sections
- Break-apart analysis
- Tool fit evaluation
- Interface analysis
- Machine parameter tuning
- Operate and support plastic welding processes including:
- Mirror welding
- Hot gas welding
- Laser welding
- Hot plate welding
- Infrared methods (Gas, Foil, Flexible Tubular Heaters, IR Lamps)
- Assist with vibration welding methods (a plus, not required).
Required Skills & Certifications:
- Welding analysis methods
- Mirror weld and/or hot gas welding
- Laser welding
- Plastics welding
- Vibration welding (preferred)
Additional Information:
- This position requires prior experience in plastic or thermoplastic welding.
- Relocation assistance is available as a lump sum bonus on the first day of work.
