What You'll Do As a Prep / Line Cook at Batbox (non-tipped role), you'll prep ingredients and prepare delicious food with care, attention, and pride. Here are some of your job duties:
Promptly and efficiently fulfill orders according to bill flow, time the steps in each dish, and know the cooking requirements of each dish
Stay in the know about our menu - ingredients, preparation, and updates
Deliver legendary dishes by preparing, portioning, and plating meals according to Batbox standards
Proactively refill ingredients, sauces, and supplies throughout your shift
Help with inventory counts and receiving deliveries
Be knowledgeable regarding allergy policies and procedures to ensure guests are not at risk of allergic reactions.
Ensure safe food handling procedures are followed 100% of the time
What We're Looking For We're all about energy, quality, and teamwork, and we're looking for Prep / Line Cooks who:
Have some back-of-house or kitchen experience (a plus, not a must!)
Culinary certifications or food safety certifications (e.g., ServSafe) are a plus
Can stay calm, focused, and organized during busy shifts
Follow recipes and directions with precision and care
Have a positive, team-first attitude and take feedback well
Are curious, coachable, and interested in growing with us
You are at least 18 years old
What to Expect This role is active and hands-on, and you can expect to:
Be on your feet for 100% of your shift - walking, standing, and moving throughout the back-of-house
Work a variety of shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on operational needs
Navigate a fast-paced, high-energy environment where noise and distractions are common
Lift and carry items weighing up to 30 pounds
Reach, bend, stoop, mop, sweep and wipe frequently.
