    Description

    Principal Architect – CX (Customer Experience) and Oracle CPQ

    Location: Houston, TX

    Type: Full Time/Long Term Contract

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • 18+ years of experience in IT with at least 5 years in a CX/CRM architecture leadership role.
    • Provenexperience with Oracle CPQ Cloud implementation in a global, multi-ERP environment.
    • Deep understanding of customer journey mapping, quote-to-cash processes, and partner channel enablement.
    • Hands-on knowledge of Oracle CPQ, Oracle Sales Cloud, PRM, and Microsoft D365 with ERP systems like Oracle Fusion Cloud, EBS, JDE etc.
    • Experience with enterprise integration tools (e.g., Oracle Integration Cloud, MuleSoft, Azure Logic Apps) and API-led integration.
    • Strong knowledge of CX data models, customer master data, and quote-to-order workflows.
    • Exposure to eCommerce platforms like Magento is plus
    • Ability to evaluate and guide system customizations, extensions, and integrations.
    • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and vendor management skills.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Define and own the CX architecture vision, roadmap, and reference architecture across platforms (Oracle CPQ, PRM, Oracle Sales Cloud, D365).
    • Act as the CX domain lead for enterprise architecture, representing CX in cross-functional architecture governance boards.
    • Align CX architecture with business goals, enterprise architecture strategy, and digital transformation initiatives.
    • Lead the design and end-to-end architecture for Oracle CPQ Cloud implementation and its integration with Oracle Fusion Cloud, EBS, JDE, and CRM systems.
    • Define and validate integration patterns, API strategies, and data synchronization models between CPQ, ERP systems, and CX platforms.
    • Ensure solutions support omni-channel sales, partner collaboration, quoting, pricing, and order fulfillment processes.
    • Guide the configuration and customization of Oracle CPQ Cloud, ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.
    • Partner with other architects (ERP, Data, Integration, Security) to ensure a cohesive architecture.
    • Evaluate and provide guidance on usage of Oracle PRM, Sales Cloud, and D365 capabilities in the CX stack.
    • Oversee architectural documentation, solution blueprints, and technical specifications.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders (Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Channel Partners) to understand CX goals and translate them into architectural designs.
    • Work with implementation partners, product vendors, and system integrators to ensure architectural integrity.
    • Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, integration, and security policies.

    Preferred Certifications:

    • Oracle CPQ Cloud Certified Implementation Specialist
    • Oracle Fusion CX Architect or equivalent
    • Microsoft Dynamics certifications will be plus
