Job Summary and Qualifications

The Physical Therapist (PT) provides high quality, patient-centered care by managing the complete process of therapeutic care of an assigned group of patients, in coordination with the physician and the patient care team. The Physical Therapist completes patient assessments, and participates in developing and implementing individualized care plans, focusing on goal achievement, patient engagement, and positive patient experience. The Physical Therapist provides or directs a majority of the patient’s physical therapy to support patients throughout the continuum of care.

Your role will include:

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations of strength, range of motion, and functional mobility immediately after surgery
  • Develop and implement customized rehabilitation programs based on surgeon protocols and patient goals
  • Evaluate patient abilities and developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions that restore movement, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life
  • Monitor progress, refining therapy plans, and ensuring accurate, timely documentation of outcomes
  • Educate patients and families about post-op precautions, movement safety, and home exercise programs to prevent further injury.
  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure cohesive, patient-centered care and smooth transitions throughout recovery
  • Lead by example—mentoring therapy assistants or students while upholding HCA Healthcare’s values of excellence, compassion, and integrity

What qualifications you will need:

  • Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of VA
  • Bachelors, Masters or DPT in Physical Therapy
  • 1 years experience Required Years of Experience
  • Orthopedic Experience Preferred
