    Description

    Product Management & Operations Analyst 

    Advisors Asset Management (AAM) seek a motivated, detail-oriented Product Management & Operations Analyst to support the Asset Management Solutions business. This entry-level role is ideal for a recent college graduate looking to build a career in financial services, asset management, investment operations, and product management. The Analyst will support AAM’s product platform, including mutual funds, separately managed accounts (SMAs), unified managed accounts (UMAs), and interval funds, while gaining exposure to product management, operations, reporting, platform support, and business controls. The successful candidate will be expected to obtain FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses within the first year of employment.

    Location: Princeton, NJ

    Salary Range: $65,000 - $85,000 per year (starting salary determined by experience and qualifications)

     

    Key Responsibilities:

    Product Management & Platform Support –

    • Support the management and maintenance of AAM investment products.
    • Assist with onboarding products to third-party investment platforms.
    • Help coordinate platform agreements, fee schedules, and operational requirements.
    • Partner with internal teams including Sales, Marketing, Operations, Client Service, Technology, and Compliance.
    • Track project deliverables and support product-related initiatives.
    • Respond to inquiries from internal and external business partners.

    Operations & Account Administration –

    • Support account onboarding, maintenance, and other product-related operational activities.
    • Assist with account, transaction, and data reconciliations.
    • Research and resolve operational discrepancies with internal and external partners.
    • Support portfolio accounting and reporting for third-party SMA strategies.
    • Assist with manager payment processing and reconciliations.
    • Coordinate subscription and onboarding documentation with fund administrators and service providers.
    • Support interval fund cash movement, wiring, and reconciliation activities.

    Reporting, Analytics & Controls –

    • Prepare reports on assets under management (AUM), sales, flows, and platform activity.
    • Assist with quarterly reporting, board materials, and manager reporting.
    • Maintain process documentation and operational procedures.
    • Support compliance, due diligence, and control-related activities.
    • Help coordinate recurring meetings, reviews, and reporting schedules.

     

    Qualifications & Skills:

    • Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, accounting, or a related field.
    • Working knowledge of investment markets, securities, portfolio accounting, and financial operations.
    • Strong analytical, organizational, and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
    • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to identify, research, and help resolve data, operational, and process-related issues.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across business, operational, technology, and compliance teams.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with pivot tables, lookups, VBA/macros, or investment operations systems is a plus.
    • Must obtain and maintain FINRA Series 7 and Series 66 licenses within 12 months of hire.
