Introduction:

Komatsu South Africa has an amazing opportunity in the Operations division at our Witbank branch, for a Product Support and Sales Representative that provides expert technical advice to customers in supporting Komatsu mining products. The successful candidate must have a minimum of 4 years working experience as a diesel mechanic and specific experience servicing and maintaining Komatsu dozers, graders, hydraulic shovels and LeTourneau wheel loaders.

Qualifications:

• Earthmoving Trade Certificate
• Medium Voltage Certificate (an advantage)

Experience

• A minimum of 4 or more years' post trade experience in the earthmoving industry working dozers/graders/hydraulic shovels/wheel loaders.
• A minimum of 2 years' supervisory experience (an advantage)
• Machine Operator License (an advantage)
• Komatsu product knowledge

Summary description of the role:

• Remains up to date with safety procedures
• Plans for safety events and campaigns
• Takes SHE into account in the planning of work output
• Plans for inspection of equipment (new and used in stock), about dates, workshops, the nomination of service, stock, and other resources
• Collates all informative materials, Komtrax registration forms, warranties, and manuals
• Opens and maintains machine history file for each machine at a customer site
• Conducts delivery inspection of the machine
• Plans and prepares for anticipated service calls in conjunction with stakeholders (including RAMP Contracts)
• Plans for the modification of equipment
• Oversees warranty repairs that may be required at the site
• Provides technical advice & liaison with centralized Komatsu functions in the Service and Repairs machines
• Plans for time to complete reporting
• Collect information, downloads, inspections, PM clinic & troubleshooting for use in reporting
• Compiles recommendations report to the Operations Manager for additional components, to meet the component change requirements
