Country: United States of America.Production EngineerGrade: P2Job DescriptionThe Pratt & Whitney Oklahoma City Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC) Production Engineer (PE) will provide manufacturing process engineering work instructions and technical guidance to facilitate disassembly, repair, assembly, and testing of gas‑turbine engines at the maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) facility in support of production delivery schedule.ResponsibilitiesRead and provide interpretation of technical data as necessary to support productionParticipate in teams reviewing and investigating process breakdowns; perform root cause and corrective action on parts and processes that are not in controlProvide timely workscope definitions for engine and/or module repair that are comprehensive, clear, concise, cost effective, and meet customer-defined requirementsApprove standard work control documents used for maintaining engine/module hardwareProvide disposition to work control document changes using standard work processes and approved technical references for released work control documentsProvide technical assistance when verification of proper configuration of engine/module hardware is neededAid in training mechanics on new tech data that has become availableUtilize robust standard work and desktop procedures for HMC PE processesPerform any other related functions or support other MRO production lines as required by management to ensure the success of the enterpriseRequired Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceEducation/Experience:Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/university with minimum 2 years of experienceMaster's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college/universityGeneral:Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, and VisioStrong written and verbal communication skillsMust be willing to work 1st shift (0700‑1600), as well as extra time as necessary to ensure completion of assigned tasks; may be called in off‑hours to answer job‑related questionsDemonstrated commitment to Environmental, Health, and Safety regulations, policies, procedures, and best practicesAbility to work in cross‑functional teams on a wide variety of tasks and with limited supervisionU.S. citizenJob-specific:Ability to write concise, easy‑to‑understand technical work instructionsDesired Qualifications, Skills, and ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline from an accredited college/universityGeneral:Experience with enterprise resource planning systems such as SAPOperational experience in an MRO engine facilityProcess or manufacturing experience on gas‑turbine enginesJob-specific:Knowledge and experience using precision measuring instrumentsAbility to interpret blueprints and engineering drawingsBenefitsMedicinal, dental, vision, life insurance, short‑term disability, long‑term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays.
