Spherion Mid Ohio is hiring experienced Production Machine Operators for 2nd and 3rd shift opportunities in Wooster.

This is a step above general production. You'll operate manufacturing equipment, inspect your own work, use measurement tools, work from blueprints, and make basic machine adjustments to keep production and quality on track.

Available Shifts

2nd Shift: Monday–Friday | 2:00 PM–10:20 PM
3rd Shift: Sunday–Thursday | 10:00 PM–6:20 AM

Weekend overtime may be available as production volume requires.

What You'll Do

• Operate and monitor production machinery
• Load and unload parts throughout the machining process
• Position parts correctly within equipment
• Monitor machine performance and production quality
• Perform required quality inspections
• Use gauges and measurement tools to verify finished parts
• Read and follow basic blueprints and work instructions
• Make basic machine and process adjustments as trained
• Complete production and quality documentation
• Perform routine operator-level preventative maintenance
• Identify and communicate production or quality concerns
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

What We're Looking For

• Previous CNC or machining-equipment experience
• Ability to read basic blueprints
• Experience using gauges or other measurement tools
• Strong attention to quality and detail
• Basic math and computer skills
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Dependable attendance and work history
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed
• High school diploma or GED required

You do not need to be a CNC programmer or experienced setup machinist. We're looking for candidates who already understand the basics of CNC/machining environments and are ready to develop their skills further.
