Production Support (Data Warehouse)

Location: Earth City, Missouri (Onsite)

Role Overview

We are seeking a mid-to-senior level Production Support professional for a data warehouse environment. This role provides dedicated support for ETL processes, data-related issues, and functional questions. The ideal candidate will have strong critical thinking skills, solid communication abilities, and the capacity to operate independently in a technically complex setting. After an initial training period to achieve full proficiency, this individual will join an on-call rotation.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide operational support for running jobs and support code deployments from UAT to Production.
• Investigate and resolve failures related to ETL, Oracle, and Linux.
• Address data quality issues through complete root-cause analysis.
• Write extract scripts, conduct data validation, and manage file transmissions.
• Perform backend data analysis to identify and resolve issues such as errors or duplicates.
• Support new project implementation, including code migrations and patches.
• Provide end-user support through the team's ticketing system.
• Handle application administration tasks, including installations and upgrades for systems like Informatica and Linux.

Required Qualifications

Education: A Bachelor's degree or at least 1 year of relevant SQL development and data warehouse support experience is required.

Experience: Must have a background in database development, with intermediate proficiency in Stored Procedures and experience in data migration.

Technical Skills:

• Strong SQL expertise is mandatory (Oracle and Netezza).
• ETL development and support experience (Informatica or comparable tools).
• PL/SQL scripting.
• Linux/Unix environment experience, including shell scripting (e.g., Bash).
• Familiarity with job scheduling software such as Automic.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with ETL tools such as SSIS or Business Objects.
• Prior experience managing high-volume file transmissions.
• A background in incident management.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, shift priorities efficiently, and take ownership of work.
