IAF is a 24-hour manufacturing operation. Overtime may be required as business demands dictate. All team members will complete training on first shift before transitioning to their assigned shift.
Starting Pay
- $21.00/hour starting wage
- $1.00/hour shift premium for 2nd shift
- $2.00/hour shift premium for 3rd shift

Position Summary
The Shipping & Conveyance Team Member is responsible for supporting shipping, material movement, inventory flow, and conveyance activities throughout the facility. This position ensures customer shipments are prepared accurately, material flows efficiently through the manufacturing process, and all safety, quality, and delivery requirements are met.
The Team Member must maintain established standard work, support continuous improvement initiatives, and contribute to a safe and organized workplace while working effectively with all departments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Shipping Responsibilities
- Verify and maintain records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Prepare products and materials for shipment according to customer specifications.
- Process and post customer orders for shipment.
- Locate products in final storage locations using customer labels and inventory systems.
- Perform required scans, including AIAG labels, location scans, customer labels, and Kanban documentation.
- Remove materials from storage locations according to shipping procedures.
- Transport products using electric carriages or approved material-handling equipment.
- Package and palletize products according to customer packaging standards.
- Finalize shipment documentation and ensure shipment accuracy.
- Process returned containers and packaging materials.
- Support forklift operations and loading activities as needed.
- Assist with tracking overseas shipment arrivals and container returns.
Conveyance Responsibilities
- Understand and support all aspects of the Conveyance Department.
- Understand and maintain Kanban flow throughout the manufacturing process.
- Monitor material movement between production areas and storage locations.
- Move finished goods into designated storage locations.
- Maintain booking information for return container shipments.
- Provide operational information and updates to Team Leaders and Group Leaders.
- Support production flow and material replenishment processes.
Continuous Improvement & Quality
- Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities.
- Maintain and support 5S workplace organization standards.
- Identify opportunities to eliminate waste (MUDA).
- Assist in developing methods to detect and prevent non-conformances.
- Support Toyota Production System (TPS) initiatives throughout the facility.
- Maintain compliance with all quality, customer, and delivery requirements.
Safety Responsibilities
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain safety awareness and promote a safe work environment.
- Properly utilize required PPE and safety equipment.
- Assist with basic equipment maintenance and housekeeping activities.
- Report safety concerns, hazards, and incidents immediately.
- Demonstrate willingness to learn and safely operate all required equipment.
Qualifications

Education and Experience
- Minimum six months to one year of related manufacturing, shipping, warehouse, logistics, or conveyance experience preferred.
- Technical school certificate or equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
- Experience in automotive manufacturing environments is preferred.
- Troubleshooting experience is beneficial.

Physical Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the team member must be able to:
- Frequently stand, walk, bend, twist, reach, and perform repetitive motions.
- Regularly use hands and fingers for handling materials and equipment.
- Lift and carry containers weighing up to 25 pounds regularly.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
- Work extended shifts, including overtime and weekends as required.
- Maintain visual acuity including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
- Frequently communicate verbally and hear effectively in a manufacturing environment.
Work Environment
This position is performed in an industrial manufacturing environment.
Team members may be exposed to:
- Moving mechanical equipment

- Various manufacturing chemicals including zinc, caustics, and acids
