Imagine stepping onto the production floor of a top corrugated manufacturer in Hatboro, PA on third shift. Machines are queued for the next run. Your mission: ensure every station has the right stock at the right time, finished goods are cleared fast, and the schedule stays on pace—all while documenting every move.
Core outcomes you’ll own
Safe, qualified forklift operation with a current Lift Truck Operator License.
Documented pre-operation forklift inspections every time you drive; maintenance work orders submitted to supervision for any needed repairs.
Stock staged before each run and delivered to the correct machines safely and on schedule.
Finished goods promptly removed and stacked neatly, orderly, and safely in storage areas.
Flawless paperwork and accurate system updates—paper forms, computer entries, and unit scanning keep inventory locations correct.
Equipment run at available capacity and speed to maximize utilization.
Daily production schedule followed, with proactive recommendations to improve cost, quality, delivery, and service.
Team-first support—assist fellow forklift operators; uphold safety, policies, and housekeeping; take part in Friday night clean-up when scheduled; handle additional duties as assigned.
Skills that make you effective
Read and follow instructions in English.
Measure and calculate with confidence: read a tape measure quickly; compute percentages, measurements, volume, and rates; apply high school-level math.
Translate equipment design and capabilities into efficient operation; understand product layouts and production specs; apply product quality specifications and quality standards.
Background
High school diploma or GED required.
Preferred: experience in the corrugated industry and prior forklift operating experience.
Environment you’ll work in
Expect regular exposure to moving mechanical parts and frequent wet/humid conditions. At times you may work at heights or around fumes/airborne particles and vibration. Hearing protection will be part of your toolkit—the floor is usually loud.
