The PEAK (Professional Engineering Accelerated Knowledge) Program provides early career engineers with the opportunity to develop their engineering skills in a challenging, fast-paced, and impactful manufacturing engineering role onsite at Tesla's Fremont, California facility. Throughout the program, you will develop either process, equipment, or controls engineering skills to optimize & sustain our highly advanced manufacturing production lines for producing our vehicle and robotics products. You will embark on a transformative journey to make a real difference and elevate your engineering abilities.

Structure of the PEAK Program: The 6-month program will consist of the following components: Instructor-Led Training (ILT), Online Training (OLT), On-the-Job Training (OJT), and engineering projects.  The training curriculum is based upon being a Process Engineer, Equipment Engineer, or Controls Engineer on our Model 3 Manufacturing team.

The PEAK program does not align you with a specialized occupation since you will be in a training program. Due to this, you will not be eligible for the H1B lottery, while you are in the program.

  • Learn Engineering Principles: Analyze and refine production processes to ensure safety while maximizing Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) in cost effective means while driving to achieve quality levels aligned with Six Sigma (6) principles, development of manufacturing requirements, quality standards and product quality plans to assure product will meet expectations of our target customer
  • Support development of manufacturing processes, equipment, controls and test plans to address risks identified through FMEA
  • Manage and facilitate identifying the root cause & corrective actions of issues through brainstorming, use of lean methodologies, hypothesis testings, design of experiments, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and optimize Tesla's world-class manufacturing equipment through a variety of hands-on learning surrounding automation, including but not limited to Robotics, and PLC programming labs
  • Execute Engineering Projects: Using advanced project management and statistical techniques taught in this program, you will bring significant impact to your engineering team and present your results to factory leadership
  • Include resume with graduation year for fulltime availability (Must be available to start work onsite at Tesla Fremont, California, in May to September 2026)
  • Three examples of exceptional engineering ability from university projects, internships, work experience, hobbyist experience, or equivalent (Application will have a section for you to include this)
  • Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Previous internship in a manufacturing and/or industrial automation environment, 6+ months experience preferred
  • Ability to work onsite at Fremont, California facility in a fast-paced, 24/7 environment, ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours/day, including over varied and uneven terrain
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills

Expected Compensation

$71,120 - $106,680/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
