Job Details

Responsibilities:

As a Project Controls Accountant, your primary responsibilities will include:

1. Overseeing all aspects of project accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
2. Managing vendor relationships, ensuring all contractual terms and conditions are met and that vendors are meeting their obligations.
3. Developing and implementing financial control procedures and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
4. Providing financial analysis and insights to support decision-making processes.
5. Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that all financial aspects of projects are effectively managed.
6. Preparing accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Using forecasting tools and techniques to predict project costs and outcomes.
8. Identifying potential financial risks and developing mitigation strategies.
9. Contributing to the development and implementation of financial strategies and plans.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate for the Consulting Project Controls Accountant position will have:

1. A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. An advanced degree or professional accounting certification (CPA, CMA, etc.) would be an advantage.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in project accounting, preferably in the energy industry.
3. Proven experience in vendor management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
4. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide insightful analysis.
5. Excellent knowledge of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, and banking.
6. Proficiency in using financial software and advanced Excel skills.
7. Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels.
9. Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and make sound financial decisions.
10. A high level of integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information confidentially.
