Project Manager

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Manager in New York, NY. Overview: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Manager to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive successful project delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience managing projects from initiation through completion, coordinating stakeholders, mitigating risks, and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, along with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

• Project Manager will lead end-to-end project management activities for business and technology initiatives
• Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, and status reports
• Coordinate activities across business, technical, and vendor teams
• Facilitate project meetings, document action items, and track deliverables
• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and escalations
• As a Project Manager, you will monitor project budgets and resource utilization
• Ensure adherence to project management methodologies and best practices
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders and executive leadership
• Drive continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field
• 5-7 years of Project Management experience
• Proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget
• Experience managing cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders
• Experience creating and maintaining project plans, status reports, RAID logs, and executive presentations
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid approaches
• Proficiency with project management tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar platforms
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving and organizational abilities

Preferred Qualifications:

• PMP, CAPM, Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP), Scrum Master, or equivalent certification
• Experience leading technology, software development, infrastructure, cloud, or digital transformation projects
• Experience managing third-party vendors and consulting partners
• Financial services, healthcare, insurance, or enterprise technology industry experience
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning
