Job Description:
The ideal candidate is a Senior Project Manager with 5–7+ years of experience leading complex cross-functional initiatives within biotech, pharma, life sciences, or consulting environments supporting those industries. They are highly proactive, thrive in ambiguous environments, and consistently drive projects forward with minimal oversight. They possess exceptional critical thinking skills, can synthesize complex information into actionable plans, and naturally identify next steps rather than simply executing assigned tasks. They have experience partnering with executive-level stakeholders, facilitating leadership meetings, coordinating across multiple functional teams, and creating executive-ready documentation. A scientific background, PhD, or laboratory experience is not required; business-oriented biotech experience is sufficient. Strong interpersonal skills, executive presence, ownership, and the ability to collaborate across global teams are essential for success in this role.
Senior Project Manager
In this role, you will help shape the future of the Precision Medicine organization as a key member of the PMed Strategic Planning and Operations team.
We are seeking a Seasoned Project Manager to join our group of leaders and business partners on a highpriority initiative focused on simplifying one of largest crossfunctional processes—driving meaningful value across the enterprise.
Reporting into the Strategic Planning and Operations function within PMed, the Senor Project Manager will support one or more transformation initiatives spanning endtoend R&D processes. You will help teams organize, plan, execute, and deliver against their goals to advance critical business outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Works closely with the SPO and workstream leaders to help plan, execute, monitor, and control, activities to meet the established goals and objectives within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget.
Ensures project plans, actions, and decisions are documented and progress is communicated to key stakeholders.
Facilitates team meetings and communications, including proactively creating schedules, agendas, minutes, action items, memos, presentations and other documents.
Applies knowledge and understanding of team objectives, escalating issues to the leaders as appropriate.
Works closely with team leads to accurately map end-to-end processes in the Precision Medicine space
Preferred qualifications:
Demonstrated results navigating through ambiguous business processes.
Experience managing complex, workforce strategy / build R&D projects including developing and executing against project plans.
Experience generating project documentation, eg. charters and plans including goals, objectives, deliverables, resources, risk mitigation, timelines etc.;
Effective Meeting Management practices, including scheduling, preparations, minutes and following up on completion of action items;
Can develop role based curriculum tailored using templates from the business and one on one interviews with key leadership.
Familiarity with Research and Development processes in a science-based company or similar industry
Excellent written and verbal skills
Proactive, curious, and high learning agility
Self-starter with excellent organizational skills
Flexibility, resilience, and ability to adapt as the business evolves
Strong critical thinking with the ability to synthesize facts and insights for problem solving & decision making
Proficient using PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, & MS Teams
Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate degree and 3 years of experience OR
Masters degree and 5 years of experience OR
Bachelors degree and 7 years of experience OR
Associates degree and 12 years of experience OR
High school diploma / GED and 14 years of experience
Top 3 Must Have Skill Sets:
Demonstrated results navigating through ambiguous business processes.
Experience managing complex, workforce strategy / build R&D projects including developing and executing against project plans.
Experience generating project documentation, eg. charters and plans including goals, objectives, deliverables, resources, risk mitigation, timelines etc.;
Day to Day Responsibilities:
Partner with the SPO and workstream leads to coordinate daily priorities, track deliverables, manage timelines, and support execution against agreed scope, quality, budget, and business objectives.
Maintain project plans, decision logs, action trackers, risk and issue logs, and status updates to ensure work remains organized, transparent, and on schedule.
Prepare for and facilitate team meetings by coordinating schedules, developing agendas and presentation materials, documenting key decisions, and following up on action items.
Monitor progress against team objectives, identify emerging risks or dependencies, and escalate issues to the appropriate leaders when support or decisions are required.
Communicate project progress, key decisions, risks, and upcoming milestones to relevant stakeholders through regular updates, presentations, memos, and meeting materials.
Work with functional and workstream leads to document current-state and future-state Precision Medicine processes, identify gaps or inefficiencies, and clarify roles, handoffs, and decision points.
Follow up with action owners between meetings to confirm progress, resolve barriers, and maintain momentum across interconnected workstreams.
Support the development of executive-ready materials that summarize progress, decisions required, risks, and recommended next steps.
