CFS is partnering with a leading Boston-area real estate investment and property ownership firm to identify a Property Accounting Manager.


Salary: $115,000-$125,000 + discretionary bonus
Schedule: 4 days onsite / 1 day remote


Key Responsibilities



  • Manage month-end and year-end close processes for assigned properties

  • Review and prepare financial statements, variance analyses, and reporting packages

  • Oversee CAM reconciliations, tenant billings, and lease accounting activities

  • Coordinate annual budgets and forecasting processes

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting controls

  • Manage property-level cash flow analysis and balance sheet reconciliations

  • Partner with property managers and asset managers on financial performance initiatives

  • Support audits, tax preparation, and lender reporting requirements

  • Mentor and develop accounting team members


Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

  • CPA preferred

  • 5+ years of real estate or property accounting experience

  • Management experience required

  • Strong understanding of commercial property accounting, CAM reconciliations, and lease accounting

  • Advanced Excel and ERP/accounting system experience

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills


Compensation & Benefits



  • $115,000-$125,000 base salary
