Superior Recruiting Agency is currently seeking a detail-oriented and quality-driven Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Technician for a confidential client in the food manufacturing industry. This position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual who is passionate about food safety, regulatory compliance, and maintaining the highest quality standards within a fast-paced production environment.
The QA/QC Technician will work closely with the Quality Assurance Manager and cross-functional departments to ensure all raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods consistently meet customer specifications, food safety requirements, and federal regulatory standards. This role is responsible for product testing, quality inspections, documentation, laboratory support, process monitoring, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities
The Quality Assurance / Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting routine quality inspections and laboratory testing while monitoring manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with FDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), HACCP, SQF, and internal quality standards. This position plays a key role in verifying product quality, identifying production concerns, maintaining accurate documentation, and supporting continuous improvement efforts throughout the manufacturing process.
The successful candidate will perform product sampling, quality analysis, equipment verification, reporting, and recordkeeping while collaborating with Production, Packaging, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Shipping teams to maintain product consistency and food safety compliance.

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required
Associate degree in Food Science, Biology, Chemistry, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred
One to three years of Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience within a food manufacturing environment preferred
Experience working with FDA-regulated food manufacturing processes strongly preferred
Knowledge of food safety regulations, GMP, HACCP, SQF, sanitation practices, and quality management systems
Experience collecting, inspecting, and testing raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods
Ability to perform laboratory testing, product sampling, and quality inspections using calibrated testing equipment and precision measuring instruments
Experience verifying product specifications including moisture, color, granulation, particle size, weight, density, purity, and other quality characteristics
Monitor manufacturing operations to identify quality concerns and help prevent product defects
Maintain detailed inspection records, laboratory documentation, quality reports, and production records
Generate daily, weekly, and monthly quality reports using computerized reporting systems
Experience maintaining lot traceability, product tracking, and quality documentation
Assist with Critical Control Point (CCP) monitoring under HACCP food safety programs
Participate in investigations involving product quality concerns, customer complaints, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Verify calibration and proper operation of laboratory equipment, measuring devices, and testing instruments
Assist with internal audits and support customer, regulatory, and third-party inspections
Maintain laboratory cleanliness while following all sanitation and food safety procedures
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and computerized data entry systems
Experience using Quality Management Systems (QMS), laboratory software, production reporting systems, or electronic documentation platforms preferred
Strong analytical, mathematical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities
Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive quality documentation with professionalism
Comfortable working in laboratory, warehouse, and food manufacturing environments
